For the premiere of the Audible Original The Big Lie at the Tribeca Festival in 2022 guests were fully immersed in the world of red scare 1950s America. Starring John Hamm and Kate Mara, and created by House of Cards’ John Mankiewickz, The Big Lie centers around the true story of the making of Salt of The Earth, a pro-union film, and the FBI agent who tried to shut it down. The premiere event hosted talent, press, Audible Executives, and fans. An audio-first experience led guests into photo-worthy vignettes based on the plot, treated them to themed food and beverage, and culminated in a theatrical performance of the first episode, broadcast in spatial audio and accompanied by a combination of archival projection footage and live-action actors performing in silhouette.
